THE MAUSOLEUM OF NJEGOŠ

To get to the Njegoš’s mausoleum, you need to cross a path of 461 steps. A statue of Petar II Petrović Njegoš, which weighs 28 tons, was placed in the place of honor in the chapel of the mausoleum.
Njegoš’s mausoleum is also the burial place of one of the most important figures of Montenegrin history – Petar II Petrović Njegoš.

THE VILLAGE OF NJEGUŠI

Njeguši is located on the slopes of mountain Lovćen, and above Kotor, at an altitude of 900 meters, this area is characterized by a special climate – therefore, it is no wonder that it is called an aerial spa.

CETINJE THE OLD ROYAL CAPITAL MONTENEGRO

The founder of Cetinje is Ivan Crnojević, who built a palace and a monastery in the plain below the famous Montenegrin mountain Lovćen.
According to written information, until the end of the 17th century, the river Cetina flowed through the plain, and that part of the city was called Cetinjsko Polje, named after the river.

THE CRNOJEVIĆA RIVER

A place that exudes the history of Montenegro. The beginning is linked to Ivan Crnojević, the ruler of Zeta, who built a fortress and a monastery, and transferred the seat of the state and the church to this area in the middle of the 15th century.
Thus, the river and the place were named after his lineage. Rijeka Crnojevića is located on the road between Podgorica and Cetinje.

LIPA CAVE

The Lipa Cave is located in the village of Lipa Dobrska, about 5 km from the center of Cetinje. It is a protected natural asset and the first and only cave in Montenegro that has been valorized and open for visits.
The existence of the Lipska Cave was known even before Njegoš’s time, and expeditions were organized even then.
